ABOUT ME & HOW THE IDEA CAME ABOUT
Even as a child, I was fascinated by old clothes. For me, it was like Christmas every time we received a bag of hand-me-downs from friends and family – full of surprises, full of stories. I loved searching for hidden treasures and making something of my own out of them.
This creative curiosity has never left me. I always wanted to create, change, and improve things with my own hands. This eventually led me to the world of fashion and design. I moved to Stuttgart, left everything behind, and began my training there – full of motivation to turn my passion into my profession.
But I soon realized that classic runway fashion wasn't what fulfilled me. I wanted more than just to follow trends – I wanted to create clothing with meaning.
So I decided to forge my own path. That's how TURNOUT came about – a label that transforms old clothes into new, functional designs. Each piece bears traces of the past and simultaneously becomes a piece of the future.
The idea of creating something new from forgotten materials, something that not only looks good but can also do more, still drives me today.
TURNOUT originated from the idea of rethinking clothing – not only in terms of look, but also in function.
